A long time believer in the power of radio, Joel got into the business
before he was out of his teens, rocking the overnights out of Vinita,
Oklahoma. 20 years and many frequencies later, mostly within spitting
distance of one another, he is pleased to find himself telling dumb

A Conversation with Joel Norman
What are some places you love in the 4-States? My couch, under my cat
and next to my wife. That’s the easy answer, but as a (pretty-much)
lifetime resident of the area, I’ll also say anyplace far enough away
from town where you can get a good look at the night sky. Fortunately,
there are many such places around here within a short drive.
Who is your all-time favorite artist/song? Any answer I give today will
be inaccurate in a matter of hours. I have a pretty eclectic taste in
music, which includes everything we play, plus lots of old hippy rock,
grunge, folk, metal, Americana, classic county, alt country, r&b, rap,
blues, funk, pop… I guess anything but free-form jazz, but I probably
just haven’t heard enough yet.
If you could have lunch with anyone (present or past), who would it be?
There are some family members who’ve passed that come right to mind, but
in the interest of being relatable, Johnny Cash, Ben Franklin and Jesus.
Eh? Top that!
If you were given $100,000 and told that you had to spend it all in one
day and it had to be for YOU, what would you spend it on? A boat! A big
beautiful boat with a busty maidenhead. That’s not weird, right?
What modern device can you not live without? Coffee machine…don’t
even joke about it.
